Last week, a customer gave me a recipe for tupelo honey ice cream. I tried it today, and now I understand why he raved so much about it. This ice cream recipe is very simple and very tasty.
2 cups half & half
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup tupelo honey
Gently warm the ingredients in a medium sauce pan until the honey is melted and incorporated. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour or so, and then pour into your ice cream maker. In less than 15 minutes, you have this super-delicious treat:
