Easy, fast and delicious. It makes a perfect ending to a summer BBQ.
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/2 heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup Tupelo honey
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan and warm over low heat until the honey is dissolved and incorporated.
- Place the ice cream base in the refrigerator and chill for an hour or so.
- Pour the chilled base into your ice cream maker and churn.
- In 15 minutes or so (depending on your ice cream freezer) the ice cream should be ready. If you prefer a firmer texture, then place the ice cream in your freezer for an hour or two.
