welcome to sunny sicily!

Where is Zafferana Etnea?
On the eastern side of the island of Sicily, the massive Mt. Etna volcano dominates the skyline. The hills surrouding this mountain are full of rich, volcanic soils. When combined with the sunny and warm weather, citrus trees such as lemons, tangerines, oranges and bergamot thrive in this area.
Local beekeepers have been placing their beehives amongst these trees for many generations. When these citrus trees are in bloom, the bees venture out to collect the sweet nectar that will become Miele di Agrumi (citrus honey).
On the south side of the mountain, you can find the small town of Zafferana Etnea. This is where our citrus honey was harvested.
