We currently use the US Postal Service and UPS for shipping orders to customers. Generally, it takes 2 to 5 days for an order to be delivered to you after it is picked up from our facility. The greater the distance between our facility in Florida and the delivery destination, the longer it takes to ship. At certain times of the year (i.e., Christmas), shipping times may increase. We have no control over the packages once they are picked up, and so we cannot make any promises regarding delivery times.
Generally, we ship new orders the next business day after the order is received, although once in a while we get backed up and it may take longer (3 or 4 business days) to pack and send your order. We do not make any profit from shipping costs; we aim to break even by charging you what it costs us to pack and ship the boxes via USPS or UPS.
We guarantee all of our honey and other products to be free from defects. For unopened products, send them back to us (postage prepaid) and we will refund the purchase price. For opened products, send them back to us (postage prepaid) and we will issue you a refund only if there is an obvious defect with the product or the container.
Shipping weights are calculated based on the combined weight of the honey, the container, and the packaging. Thus, for example, the shipping weight for a 5 pound bottle of honey is almost 6 pounds when you include the bottle weight, the weight of the box, and the weight of the packing materials.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items once they have been picked up by the shipper (i.e., US Postal Service or UPS). So if the honey is stolen from your front porch while you are away, please do not ask us for a refund or a replacement shipment. For damaged items, please send us pictures of the box and the items. In most cases, we will replace the damaged items only, and then file a damage claim with the shipper.
