    We currently use UPS as well as the US Postal Service for shipping the vast majority of our orders. Generally, it takes 2 to 5 days for an order to be delivered to you after it is picked up from our facility. The greater the distance between our facility in Florida and the delivery destination, the longer it takes to ship. At certain times of the year (i.e., November and December), shipping times may increase dramatically. We have no control over the packages once they are picked up and we cannot make any promises regarding delivery times.

    We offer flat rate shipping, where the rates increase by weight and by distance to the delivery location. With these flat rates, it is generally more economical to order several bottles of honey at the same time.

    We do not make any profit from our shipping charges. We aim to just break even between what we charge you and what we pay UPS, the Postal Service or other 3rd parties to ship your order. The Post Office does not ship our packages for free. We would need to increase all of our product prices to offer "free shipping." So we prefer to keep our honey prices low, and then use weight-based flat rate shipping rates. We may offer shipping discounts on larger orders from time to time at Smiley's discretion. Gallon jugs are excluded from the >$100 free shipping deals, unless explicitly communicated.

    Generally, we ship new orders the next business day after the order is received, although once in a while we get backed up and it may take longer (3 or 4 business days) to pack and send your order. 

    We guarantee all of our honey and other products to be free from defects. For unopened products, send them back to us (postage prepaid) and we will refund the purchase price. For opened products, send them back to us (postage prepaid) and we will issue you a refund only if there is an obvious defect with the product or the container. 

    Shipping weights are calculated based on the combined weight of the honey, the container, and the packaging. Thus, for example, the shipping weight for a 5 pound bottle of honey is around 6 pounds when you include the bottle weight, the weight of the box, and the weight of the packing materials.

    We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items once they have been picked up by the shipper (i.e., US Postal Service or UPS). We are not responsible for the damages that could result in poor handling by the shippers. Smiley honey takes great care in wrapping, packing and ensuring that the parcels are packed well, but however we cannot guarantee that no breakages or damages occur after it leaves our facility.  

    If your order is damaged, then please send us pictures of the box and the items inside. In most cases, we will replace the damaged items only, and then file a damage claim with the shipper. Any refund or replacement is done solely on Smiley's discretion and we do not accept responsibility for damages caused by shippers.
