Get wild with blackberries
This delightful honey comes from the flowers of wild blackberry plants, which is a member of the rose family. The most common wild blackberry varieties in Oregon are Evergreen and Himalaya. These plants usually bloom in May and the berries ripen in late June or early July. Our current supply comes from Marion County, which is about 30 minutes south of Portland.
color and flavor
This is a darker honey -- generally medium amber in color and often cloudy. Blackberry honey starts with a pleasing sweetness and then finishes with a subtle blackberry flavor. It's fun to watch customers at our honey house catching the blackberry taste right at the end. Eyes light up as they exclaim - "There it is!"
Had to come back for more of the delectable Blackberry (and Tuepolo of course) honey. Very distinctive and pleasing.
We love it. Quality product, good Price, fast shipping.
Try a little drizzle on your strawberry ice cream. Excellent honey thanks.
My first time trying this variety of honey. It has a distinct berry flavor which is very good, I would buy more of this variety.
